WHAT ARE
CLINICAL TRIALS?
What is a Clinical Trial?
A clinical trial is a research study done by researchers or doctors who want to know if a treatment works. There are usually two groups of people in the study. One group may get a new treatment and the other group may get an existing treatment. The goal is to compare the two treatments and see if there is a way to treat or prevent health problems. There are also social and behavioral research studies. These types of studies want to understand different human behaviors.
